About Septic Systems Are you selling your home? Chances are the lender will require a certification of the septic tank. Cummings Plumbing, Heating and Cooling can pump the tank down, check for cracks and provide you with certification that states the septic system is in good condition. Often the mortgage lender will provide for this test with the escrow in the home, so there is no out-of-pocket cost involved. We have equipment that makes the job easier and a video system that tells us where the problem lies, so we can pinpoint the damage area. For new construction, or to completely replace an exsisting septic system, our newest septic system design uses infiltration chambers as a direct replacement for stone and pipe leach fields. These are cost-effective, efficient methods for handling residential and commercial waste water. The infiltrator systems are installed in 2 to 3 foot wide trenches. They promote effluent infiltration into the soil with greater efficiency and capacity, which means as little as half the space of stone and pipe systems for equal or superior performance. The result is a better system with less yard space disruption and virtually no chance of roots seeping into the system. |
